I've been lurking on DA for over a year now, only posting when the mood hits me, mostly because:

1) My art kinda sucks, and I'm way out of practice. I picked up a pencil again the other day, and I feel like I (again) lost a year of potential skill. I work a lot from photo stock and still life, and the opportunities to do that are not very common with a full-time job and getting married and all of that.

2) My writing is...um...sort of adult. Ever since NaNoWriMo 2007, I've been exploring adult sexuality and how partners react to each other when they're faced with certain sexual decisions. The research has been interesting for the most part, but it's also a lot to take in. But I don't feel like it's the kind of thing that should be posted to the Internet, even in a community as left-leaning and accepting as dA.

But, I haven't given up. If anything, I feel like I've become better at my writing and certainly more interested in art than I've been in a long time. Part of the thanks has to go to all of the inspiring work that I've seen here on deviantART. Even if I don't favorite a piece that you've done or follow your work religiously, I'm still keeping my eyes open to new interpretations of the same old story of beauty.
