I can't believe I didn't have a picture of just my heroine, in the collection of updated character looks for my Persona 4 story...!
Anyway, here's grown-up Chie, all made up in the Cheongsam dress she wears for Yousuke at his birthday dinner (Chapter 22, "Waiting" -
[link] ;
the chapter's got some mature content, so please be heedful of the warning).
I'm not good at drawing clothes, but luckily this design is not too complicated.

I did have a lot of fun with those button-bows, even if they didn't quite come out the way they should have.
Chie doesn't get many opportunities to be all dolled-up and dressy in my story (she's usually too busy running around, throwing kicks and cavorting), but I really wanted to project an image of her as a proper young lady, here.
To Friends and Watchers: Sorry if the mass of recent uploads are boring or spamming or annoying you. I'm currently enjoying a resurgence of interest and inspiration, but I'll return to the periodic/once-weekly uploads shortly. Still, if you decide to take me off your watch list because of this, I'll understand. I really appreciate you having followed me at all!

I did try to make the different characters recognizable even after 5-6 years (even though it's only 5-6 years). Glad that she still comes across as the old fun-loving Satonaka chick.
For some reason this one stands out so much for me, not that I don't love the others, but this one is so...I don't know, it has somehting very refreshing about it!
And yes, that dress does make her seem like a proper young lady, I'd date her.
I like how you pictured the difference between all the female characters till now. They all have their unique features what make them THEM, and so very wonderful to look at! <33
I hope we'll see more in the future, I love seeing what you do with the cast so much! *_*
I admit, I spent a lot of extra time on this one, trying to make it just right. And part of that is all of the little details that you mention, like the roundness of her cheeks or the sweet mischief in her smile. There's something a little tomboyish about her, too, that I'm glad comes through.
I looked at a lot of Cheongsam dresses when I wrote the scene, of course, but for the actual pattern I cheated and Photoshop'ed the light yellow ryu design - there's no way I could ever be that detailed!
I'm really pleased with the way the cast updates have been received. I want other people - and readers - to get at least a glimpse of what I see for these characters in my head, and I'm happy to hear that they're enjoyed. (And thanks for giving me that kick to start posting them! I don't know if I would have gotten back into drawing as much as I have without that initial prompt!)
I know I do the same kind of thing all of the time, but I think I'm just in an inspiration whirlwind with these characters. I want to go back and revisit some of my other fandoms, but right now, I'm enjoying this one a bit too much.
Thanks again! And thank you for the
The war you draw faces and smiles is just simply great
I could never be annoyed by your "picture-spamming"... its great
I admit that I spend a lot of time on faces, because I find them the most interesting (and body anatomy has always been a pain for me
Thank you so much again! I really appreciate the kind words of encouragement.
I like how even though they are a little older they still retain what made them them
I'm definitely trying to keep them "in character" - so glad that it seems to be working!
